Occasional working bees are held in in the nursery at Mt Pleasant during December, January and February. We usually focus on pricking out seedlings from ‘flats’ in our shade house into tubes which grow in full sun until they are ready for planting in winter. We also plan other events, like planting days on local landholder properties.
The URTLG have been supporting volunteers in Porter Scrub Conservation Park and Cromer Conservation Park for many years and in 2021 became Friends of Parks members. URTLG support these groups in various ways such as providing equipment, organising events and regular activities, applying for grants on and off park, or just promoting the volunteer group.
Check out our volunteer opportunities and register your interest to get involved.
We encourage you to become a member of the URTLG when volunteering.
