DESCRIPTION:FrogWatch SA Seasonal Census survey (https://frogwatchsa.com.au/about/seasonal-census) in Howard Creek. \nMeet at the northern end off Burfords Hill Road on Saturday 6th September. \nMeet 2 pm. Session to finish about 5 pm. \n\nFirstly we will visit the exclosure and collect bamboo stakes that have fallen over that do not serve a purpose\, otherwise re-position them. We will also re-label our planting pins. \nAfter this we will undertake two frog surveys along the two different sections of Howard Creek. \nTo undertake a survey we need to download the FrogSpotter app to our device prior. Each survey is only 3 minutes which requires being still and quite so the app can record the frog calls. \nI have download the app so we can use my phone unless someone would like to have a go. \nYou may wish to\, prior the session to see how it works and even try it at home to see what frogs you have. \n\nPlease wear appropriate clothing and footwear. \nAfternoon tea will be provided. \nPlease RSVP by Friday 5th September.

DESCRIPTION:We will be undertaking various activities which will include another walk and weed session\, where we will focus on weeding along and off the track to the exclosure\, within the exclosure (if needed) and in the creekline. \nWe will also check out how the plants are faring in these dry conditions. In addition\, we will be planting Liz’s Maroonhoods (Pterostylis pedunculata)\, which she has been growing for some time. The species is a common orchid and endemic to south-eastern Australia. \nWe will find a suitable spot in the exclosure\, plant\, water and pin them. We will also check the rain gauge. Cross your fingers and toes that we have something to record! \nHope to see you next month on Sunday 22 June\, 2:00-4:30pm. \nMeet northern end of park off Burfords Hill Road. \nPark inside if enough space\, otherwise safely on the roadside. \nGloves and equipment provided. \nMorning tea provided. DESCRIPTION:Hooray! \nHow good is it to have some rain? Even this small amount is helpful so we are going ahead with our planting session this coming Sunday 16th June. \nMeet at northern end of park off Burford Hill Road. Park inside the gate if enough space\, otherwise park safely on the roadside. \n9:30 am start. Finish approx. 12pm. \nWe have approx. 165-175 plants to get in the ground and one of these is Clover Glycine\, the species we have been monitoring since 2017. \nAs it is still rather dry we will be watering the plants in. \nWear appropriate clothing. Bring a water bottle. \nRefreshments provided. \nEquipment and gloves provided. \nPlease RSVP by this Friday 14th for catering purposes.
